An Ode to Shinny
Parent and child shinny is fun to play
Up to 24 players can come out on Sunday
It can be a great time if the rules are obeyed
But if problems arise the game gets delayed
Don’t forget helmets, skates or your pads
Full equipment is required, even for dads
Size doesn’t matter but age does on ice
Kids six years to twelve can play if they’re nice
Hockey can sometimes get a bit rough
This game is non-contact so please don’t act tough
Parents lace up as you must play too
